wwdiary - version 3.7.10 posted to Android Market

  • Fixed a bug where the phone pad number input was not showing in point and activity calculators.

It seems that users of the Sony Xperia X10 cannot see a decimal key with the phone keyboard layout. Can other users of that device confirm?  Do any other devices have a similar problem?

  1. I love the phone pad for the number entries, thank you!!! It doesn't do the phone pad for the Food Calculator though, should it?

  2. I like the key pad and do have a decimal point. I have a my touch 3G with Google and scanning bar codes stilll isn't filling in the description though. Also, on your pull out drawer would it be possible to get a marker for high fiber/filling foods? Maybe give us a daily count as. well?

Thanks for all your great work!

  4. Thank you for reporting this. Most android phones have a decimal key on the phone pad keyboard. I have an email to sony support asking for more information.

  5. Hi, the default keyboard on the x10 does have a decinal point, however after updating the app yesterday, the default x10 keyboard has been replaced with a phone pad when trying to input points. However when u input food info its the normal default x10 keypad! Hope this helps thanx

  6. Right. May users have asked for easier number input though, so setting the app to use a phone keypad for number input made it easier. However Sony have customized their phone keypad and removed the default decimal point button.

I'm still deciding how to handle this.

  8. :) I will find a way to fix it for the X10 users, and any other phones that are effected.

  9. I am an X10 user. I would like you to put a toggle setting on which input to use for such number fields so I can keep using numeric screen of my keyboard as was before. I use HTC IME keyboard and its numeric portion is already set up like a phone keypad. It does have comma and period.
I rather not use the phone dialpad as a keyboard.

  10. It would be cool if we could edit foods in the favorite list. Other then that, I still love the app!!!

  11. Xperia x10 users can use the android keyboard version and be able to input decimal points. I switched from the std keyboard to android and it works fine

  12. Yup - was able to switch to android keyboard version and get a keypad with a decimal point. Bring up points calculator - type, then clear something in calories field - then press and hold your finger on the calories field, then you get a pop-up menu, select input method, then select android keyboard. It seems cumbersome and there must be a better way to do this, but it works.

  13. I'm glad this workaround exists right now, but I am not going to rely on it. I've been in email conversations with sony about the problem and I hope to resolve it soon.

  14. Would be great if when you go over 35 weekly points the indication of points used would go red (or negative; I have always thought that weekly points "left" would be more intuitive than points "used"). Either way, knowing how far over on weekly points would be helpful (motivating to cut down), just like seeing a negative daily count has impact. Love the application. Thanks!
