Google is sending me a free phone!

I received an email a few days ago from Google saying that the wwdiary app qualified as part of their "Developer Seeding Program".  They are sending out free phones (NexusOne / Verizon Droid) to their "top developers" with more then 5000 unique downloads, and a rating of 3.5 stars or better.

Right now wwdairy has over 21,000 active installs and a rating of around 4.5 stars, so I'd like to thank every one of you who has commented with such good ratings on the Android Market!   The device I'll get is random (nexus/droid) but I'll make a new post in week or two when the phone gets here :)

  1. So far this app is awesome! I'm a new user and was wondering if there was a way to see a reference guide of points. I guess if there was a way to look point values up like in the book. Also, and I know this might seem picky, but is it possible to change the font on the food
diary? I'm a super neat person & the handwriting is just sloppy to me. I do like the idea behind the handwriting font, just not the actual font. Ha ha. Thanks again for helping me get back on "track."

  2. I've been wanting to include other fonts, I just need to get around putting them in.

There is currently no database of foods except for the ones you enter in yourself. In order to include a database of foods I would need to find a free source (willing to grant me permission) of all that information... I haven't found one yet...

  5. I like it..like it.
I'm a 100 % nursing mom of a 5months old baby and so need it a program to lose weight. I did WW in the past and now with this extra help in technology...what can I say? It's great, convenient and very helpful. I am happy for you getting a phone from google..very well deserved!

  6. The app is great! I started the ww thing in order to support my wife. I don't do meetings or read any of the literature, my wife does so I rely on her for all the ww info and she noticed that in the point calculator, the fiber section allows you to enter a value greater than 4 but ww stops at 4 regardless of actual fiber content. The analogy my wife used as to why ww stops at 4 fiber was because people were eating entire loaves of bread with spray butter substitute and couldn't figure why they weren't losing weight. Lol. I haven't played with the calculator enough to see if there is a difference but does it account if you enter a fiber value greater than 4? Thanks! Sweet deal on the phone btw.

  7. @ Claudia: Thanks! and good luck :)

@ Marc: Yes, the calculator will cap whatever value you enter in as no greater than 4.

  8. Thanks for such a great app! It's very similar to the WWCalc program for Palm OS. Perhaps someone from www.dwlz.com might be able to give you some suggestions for the food databases.

I noticed that water & fruit/veggie tracking is on your list. It would be great if Dairy & Vitamins could also be tracked. I often wished it was just something on the food item where I could tell it that my Spinach Lasagna is 4 points & counts as 1 veggie & 1 Dairy.
